Sanja Virsa was founded by Rozy Kaur with a vision to create a platform for Punjabi talent in the UK. The first event was organised in Manchester with 50 participants.
Launch of the first Miss Talented Punjaban competition, attracting over 100 participants from across the UK. Recognised by Manchester City Council.
Despite pandemic challenges, we moved online and expanded our reach, forming partnerships with TV49 News and other community organisations.
Introduced Savan Mela, a cultural festival celebrating Punjabi traditions with food, music and dance — attracting over 2,000 visitors in its first year.
Miss Talented Punjaban went international, with participants from the USA, Canada and Australia. Featured in multiple media outlets.
New events including Pair of the Year, and expanding community outreach programmes — over 1,000 participants served across all events.
